SIX TYPES
The HQ SACT Officers Mess has six types of membership:
- Regular members
- Regular members who are American NATO civilian employees
- Honorary members
- Associate members
- Enlisted members (rather an administrative status for enlisted ranks rather than full mess membership)
- SOPC members (rather an administrative status for PE Officers who wish their spouses to belong to the SOPC)
FIVE OPTIONS FOR APPLICATION
Based on eligibility criteria, staff may apply for any of the five types of membership.
Regular Membership - "R" membership is an option for:
- a military officer assigned to NATO assigned to the Peacetime Establishment of Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation, or
- a military officer officially assigned to a National Liaison Representative Office of a nation with official representation at Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation,
- An officer assigned to NCIA, the CJOS or JFC NF, or
- a NATO International Civilian (NIC) assigned to the Peacetime Establishment of Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation, NCIA, the CJOS or JFC NF.
US Civilian Membership - "RU" membership is an option for:
- a NATO International Civilian (NIC) assigned to the Peacetime Establishment of Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation who is a citizen of the United States of America.
Associate Membership - "A" membership is an option for:
- a military personnel of officer status serving in military organizations in the Hampton Roads area.
- a civilian personnel of officer status serving in military organizations in the Hampton Roads area.
- a contractor of officer status working at HQ SACT, or
- a former member of the HQ SACT Officers’ Mess who wishes to continue membership.
Enlisted Status - "E" membership is an option for:
- an enlisted member assigned to NATO assigned to the Peacetime Establishment of Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation,
- An enlisted member assigned to NCIA, the CJOS or JFC NF,
- an enlisted member officially assigned to a National Liaison Representative Office of a nation with official representation at Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation, or
- a NATO International Civilian (NIC) assigned to the Peacetime Establishment of Headquarters Supreme Allied Command Transformation, NCIA, the CJOS or JFC NF who only wants access to the Duty and Tax Free Outlet (Red Barn).
SOPC Status - "S" membership is an option for:
- An officer eligible to be a regular or associate member who only wants his/her spouse to be able to join the SOPC.
Please note: the spouse still needs to apply at the SOPC to become a SOPC member.
